In this unit we are going to practice listening for personal information. Have you ever been asked to fill in forms, for instance, when you register (报名，登记) for a course or try to open a bank account (账户)? What kind of information is required on these forms? Most probably you'll be asked to give your name, address, and telephone numbers. Have you ever had practice in writing this kind of information in English? No? Okay, here we go.

	Instruction:
Look at the picture and the form below. A receptionist (接待员) is talking with a customer (顾客) while filling in the registration form. (登记表).

The receptionist needs the customer's full name, address and telephone number, which means that you are supposed to focus your attention on these aspects when listening.

You may not know the exact meaning of the word "registration", but I'm sure you can have a rough idea of what it means by looking at the picture and the form. Being able to work out the meaning of a word, a phrase or even a sentence is an important skill not only in English leaning but also in real life communication. If you think about what you usually do in real life you will agree with me. Given the fact that you're leaning on your own I will give you the definition of the new word: You register at a hotel, the entrance of a building or with police. But I want you to remember that you can't expect to know the meaning of every word in communication and neither can you expect your teacher or textbook to give every bit of information you need.
